Director / Manager
Donna’s zoo-keeping career began in 1995 when she discovered her love for big cats and not long after moved to the USA to pursue this love. Donna completed a Diploma in Professional Zoo-Keeping and graduated with honours (She also holds an Australian Certificate IV in Captive Animal Management). Donna stayed in the USA to further her knowledge in Big Cat health, neo-natal care, conditioning, training and handling along with zoo management. She was hired as the Park Manager and Lead big cat handler at Cattales Zoological Park and Training Centre. When Donna eventually returned to Australia in 1999 she was hired as Senior carnivore keeper at Mogo Zoo and then went on to become Head Zoo Keeper. Donna eventually moved on to manage the Bullen's big cat and primate animal facility in Western Sydney and then in 2012 co-founded Zambi Wildlife Retreat on a large section of the 50 acre property.
Today Donna is the Managing Director of Zambi Wildlife Foundation and the Operations Manager of the retreat, where she lives onsite with the animals.
Director / Secretary
Traci grew up on a farm and had a childhood filled with all kinds of crazy and exciting experiences with almost every animal you could possibly imagine. These childhood experiences became the foundation for her desire to work with and for animals.
Traci runs her own Pet Accessories business known as miyow & barkley, donating a percentage of every sale to Zambi Wildlife Retreat and the creator of an online, cruelty free, one stop shop called Bubby Grubs.
Consistently throughout Traci’s adult life volunteering or raising funds for animal welfare groups has been a personal commitment.
